Scope
The emerging trend shows that interconnected and ubiquitous computer systems are becoming part of everyday life. As a consequence, there is a growing expectation to have a universal interactive experience with information and services across all domains and devices.
The purpose of this first international workshop is to provide a forum for researchers, students, professionals, and experts to present and discuss research in cross-media technologies. Of particular importance will be new and emerging applications as well as the enabling technologies to support automatic production of cross-media content and multi-platform delivery.
Topics of interest
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Automated Production of Cross-media Content.
- Multimedia content extraction and indexing.
- Aggregation of multi-modal information such as text, image, and video.
- Automatic content repurposing for multiple devices and platforms such as mobile TV, next-gen game consoles, and Web 2.0.
- Design issues in cross-media content
- Architecture and data modelling to support cross-media tagging, indexing and data management.
- Retrieval and search techniques to enable effective querying across cross-media content.
- Visual and interaction design to support engaging cross-media experience.
- Multi-platform delivery methods.
- In-vehicle services.
- Wireless networking.
- Applications of cross-media contents in current and emerging domains such as information/entertainment, games, marketing, and communication.
