Background

At the end of January 2008 I left QUT to concentrate on developing course materials for teaching Robotics. However, I am an Associate of QUT and I still have a close relationship with the Faculty of IT.

I have co-authored a book with Kyle Johns titled "Professional Microsoft Robotics Studio" which will be available in the middle of 2008. The sample code from the book will be released on the Internet. Some of my previous work with MSRS can be downloaded from my MSRS Code Page. I am available to undertake consulting work in the area of Robotics Education, and in particular MSRS.

Teaching

Teaching for Semester 2, 2008:

In second semester I will be teaching a Special Topic entitled "Introduction to Robotics using Microsoft Robotics Studio". This unit will only be available to second or third year students who have completed ITB003 with a grade of 5 or better.

Research

I have completed my Final Seminar, and I am currently making the final changes to my PhD Thesis in the area of computer vision and robotics.
