General Information about these Pages

This site of links was originally created in May 1996 for the Students of QUT Unit ITB322 Information Resources. It is continually being improved upon, often with the help of the current students in this or other subject units each semester. Further useful sites to Business and Industry are often added, particularly for general information resources, e-commerce, website creation and design, and for business intelligence gathering techniques. If you have any suggestions for inclusion please Email me at s.edwards@qut.edu.au

Search Engines

Finally, don't forget to try critically thinking about the Internet and its potential resources before you start searching. Where might be the best place to search for your required information? Is it actually likely to be on the Net, and if so is it more likely to be found using a tool like The Invisible Web instead.

Having thought about what may be available on the Internet, what you are searching for and how to do it, some of the search engines are: Please NOTE: MSF means the site has Multiple search facilities
