MMM2004 Presenter Information
All of the talks were designated by the PC Committee as either Oral or Poster Presentation. The type of talk was mentioned in the acceptance email sent to you and also can be verified on the MMM2004 Web Site Advanced Program. The instructions for both the oral and poster presentations are given in this document.
"ORAL PRESENTATION" INSTRUCTIONS:
PRESENTING YOUR PAPER
You should be present in the room in time for your presentation, from
where you will be called to the stage by the Session Chair. Your presentation
should last around 20 minutes (15 minutes for the talk and 5 minutes for
questions). Please remember to keep an eye on the Session Chair, who will
give you a signal when the time is approaching to bring your presentation to a
close. The order of the talks is given on the MMM2004 website. Please let
session chair know you before your session starts.
EQUIPMENT
The following equipment will be available in the room: data projector and an
overhead projector.
"DEMO/POSTER PRESENTATION" INSTRUCTIONS:
The Poster presentation will take place in the same place as the oral presentations from 10:30am on 5 Jan. Please set up your poster on 4 Jan around reception time at 5~8pm or before 8:30am keynote address on 5 Jan 2004.
EXHIBITION PANELS
We will provide tripods on which to display your poster and an A2 (42 x 59 cm) cardboard poster board. Each presenter will
have *one* tripod/poster board on which to display his/her material. We
recommend that authors print their material on standard pages which can then be
taped or glued to the poster board.
“BOASTER SESSIONS”
The Poster Session will be preceded by a “Boaster” Session – this will be your
chance to inform your audience about the display you have provided. Presenters
will be invited to the stage to speak to delegates for one ~ two minutes only. You may use a single overhead transparency
or one/two slides to illustrate
your talk if you wish.
